Came on a Sunday for lunch and although there was only one other table sat, I'm so glad that we stayed. We ordered the chili Verde plate that comes with rice and beans and it was absolutely delicious. It taste like my mom's cooking they give you fresh chips and delicious salsa. They have beer if you would like an alcoholic beverage, and they are working on their full liquor license. I cannot wait to come back and try their other dishes, the food is absolutely amazing!

Wonderful new restaurant in downtown Fullerton. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. True authentic tasting food. The chef gave all dishes wonderful flavor that had everyone finishing every single dish! We enjoyed the fundido as an appetizer along with the Mulcajete, Caldo de Pollo, and a few orders of their Enchilada plates. Everything was yummy. We will go back. The family also manages and cooks at Galahad's for Taco Tuesdays. Food good on Taco Tuesdays as well. The restaurant is named for Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. The ambiance is lovely and beautiful.

I've been searching for a good Mexican food place for a long time here in Fullerton. This place hits the mark! Came in mid day Sunday afternoon. We sat inside which is a high bar setting. We were greeted and a little worried because it was empty. Order cheese fries plain. So yummy. They come with a garnish or onion, cilantro, guac and sour cream. We ate the whole thing. I ordered the chicken mole enchiladas. They come with rice, beans and a small bowl of sopa de concha. Wow. It's so hard to find chicken mole another hit for me. We also ordered shrimp fajitas. That came out sizzling. Also served with rice and beans. Overall... I've been living in Fullerton for 20 years now and this is hands down the most authentic and best tasting Mexican food in town.

KMK was a great relief to find after a few failed attempts to have dinner in Anaheim. All we were seeking was some great home style Mexican food with a relaxed environment. The interior of this restaurant is sparsely decorated and was nearly empty when we sat down to eat a late lunch. The menu is quite extensive, which made it quite difficult to choose what we wanted. Every dish reached out to be chosen like the kids in the playground wanting to be picked for the basketball team. Since one of my all time favorite meats is Buche I had to stay loyal and ordered two Buche tacos and two carnitas sopes just to make sure my tank was full. They didn't have aguas frescas so we stuck to water but a nice beer would have been had if I wasn't on the clock. While I waited for my food I tried out the two salsas that were placed before me and I had to try them out. They were both equally spicy and tasty. I also chilled to the Mexican oldies but goodies that brought back memories of family parties and long cruises on the Main Street of small town USA. The music was just loud enough to be enjoyed and draw you in for a bit of restaurant karaoke. Our food arrived and it looked like Xmas in April without the credit card debt. I started with the Buche tacos that came with onions, Buche, rice and some nice Rajas! Ajua! The tacos were flavorful, heart warming and large enough for an XL hunger. The sopes were asking to be bath in the salsa and I cut into them like a birthday cake from years past. These two reminded me of simple homemade goodness that made me appreciate this experience and the existence of KMK! I'm going back to have the costillas with nopales and the green enchiladas and probably everything else. If you're looking for a simple restaurant with some just great food KMK is your PTB. Enjoy!

Was pleasantly surprised by this place! We were actually planning to check out another nearby taco place and stumbled over here by pure fate, due to the lack of parking at our original intended spot. Thankfully, Kahlo shares a private lot with a few other businesses, so we had no trouble finding parking. It was pretty crowded when we arrived, but we were able to secure the last table. The menu is mostly in Spanish, but the staff is super nice and accommodating. We ordered the enchiladas verde plato and the carne asada plato. Both came with SO much food and offered a ton of variety! I especially loved the carne asada plate. It was honestly such a great value, considering it even came with soup and mini tacos, plus some chorizo. They also offer nacho fries with the melted cheese I love.. sooo good! Will definitely return!

This adorable family owned and ran restaurant is a must!!! Mom and dad are the cooks and sons do the rest. They are friendly and welcoming. I liked the Mexican decor touches. The seating was comfortable. The food was just like homemade!!! We ordered sopes (chicken & asada) and the green sauce enchiladas with rice and beans. I personally loved the food, which was freshly made. I felt like I was eating at a family members house. I will be back! Give this place a try, won't be sorry!!
